Yarn Along: Another Baby Knit

I think it has started again ;-) I can't stop thinking about baby, I can't stop knitting for baby and I'm starting to get nervous about the things not done yet - we need a cradle, we need a change table, we need to cosy up things around the bedroom, we need to clean the kitchen cupboards... I'm 26 weeks along now, so there should be plenty of time, but I feel this urge now to get things ready.

I'm knitting another little cardigan - this time with sleeves. It's a beautiful soft cotton yarn. Since we expecting a summer bubba I figured it would be nice to have something coolish not wolly at hand too. But maybe I just fell in love withe the yarn and it's blueish / greyish colour way.

So far I haven't really decided on buttons but I fell in love with the tiny soft wooden ones I also used for the blue merino baby jacket. What do you think? Does it look too 'organic' or nice and 'natural'?

I'm still reading Bill Bryson's "A Small History of Almost Everything".

Was meint ihr?

Lesen?

I'm joining Ginny again for her Yarn Along today - she keeps a smile on my face with her wonderful little family tales these days!
Take care!

Herzlichst, Lena

  1. beautiful knit for your baby and I think you should start making a list of all the stuff you need to do and once it's on paper you'll feel better :)

    1. That's a good idea. I once had a teacher who used to say 'if you want to forget something, put it on a list' :-)

  2. I love your baby knit. Get ready for that baby now because soon it will be too cumbersome to try to do anything. Best wishes for you and your future baby.

  11. I love this cardigan. Such lovely colours-blue again…hmm. I also remember knitting like crazy when I was pregnant with Rose. I couldn't knit enough for her! Between my Mum and me she had a different piece of knit wear for each day of the month!

    1. Yes, blue ;-) A lot of people think it will be a boy. They have all sorts of theories: my belly's size, my belly's shape, me being so rosy and round, their dreams, me knitting in blue.... I still don't have the slightest idea or feeling about the baby's sex :-) xxx
