I love picking colours and materials for my doll's clothes! It just underlines their character. The gentle and small Mayla was asking for softness all around. So she got a natural white silk dress, pants made from extra soft viscose and a little knitted vest and shoes made from a very soft marino-yak mix. It has been a little tricky to knit with because it breaks easily but the result is worth the trouble. I love the feel and the beautiful colours it comes in. The raspberry hat is made from a malabrigo leftover.

I'm reading The Tin Drum by Grass. After storming though during my studies (a long time ago), I love the sloweness of really getting every sentence, picture, mood, hint... It makes me appreciate re-reading which is so much more about the 'how' than the 'what happens next'.

And now I'll head over to Ginny's Yarn Along - it is becoming a Wednesday's ritual ;-)

Have a lovely sunny day!
Lena
